On Friday, May 6th, TVF partnered with Kids Can Cook and Arizona Kids Food Revolution to host a free evening of “Dinner and a Documentary”. The evening kicked off with a food demo by “Chef Jeff” who taught the kids how to make a healthy snack and desert. Dinner was catered by Charmaine Thomas, founder of Kids Can Cook (kids-cancook.com) and AZ representative for Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution (jamieoliver.com) and featured a Jamaican jerk chicken and fresh farm veggies. Dinner was followed by a showing of What’s On Your Plate?, a documentary exploring the origins of everything from local produce to Funyons.This fabulous documentary was produced by Sadie Rain Hope-Gund and Safiyah KaiRiddle, two curious and dynamic eleven-year old girls from New York City.
