The Tucson Village Farm hosted a free family-friendly event called the Taste of the Harvest Festival on November 5, 2011.
“The Harvest Festival is a cross between your local Farmer’s Market and Costco,” said Elizabeth Sparks, UA Assistant Agent for 4-H Youth Development for the Tucson Village Farm.
The Tucson Village Farm is a program of the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension and partners with the Arizona Nutrition Network to accomplish its goals of reconnecting young people to a healthy food system, teaching them how to grow and prepare fresh food and empowering them to make healthy life choices.
